David Jouarisse an advisor walking the walk

Raising money isn’t the core business of any business so help is always needed and appreciated. David Jouarisse have been helping me and VideoPlaza with this seed round in many ways. The reason I’m writing this is that I want David’s rather unique approach and attitude to be highlighted.

I met David early in the fund raising process and he has been a great support all the way through. Since he’s been working as a VC himself, he gave me lots of great advice and coaching. But not only that, he also put me in contact to many relevant people, helped me with the pitch during late nights and even took a cab ride with me to the airport in Paris just to catch a potential angel for 15 minutes. David is an advisor that walks the walk.

The photo above is actually from that airport trip when we on the way back met two cool people from South Africa and New York.

Thanks David for all the support!

Yes, David is indeed walking the walk like few others in financing! He has an unusual combination of financial skills, vast inernational network of angel and VC contacts and, most important, a sense for true entrepreneurship, what the key factors for success are based on stuff you don’t learn in business schol but in real business life.

Thank you guys!!! I just love what I do and beyond all entrepreneurs for the values for which they stand!

I have had since a long time back a lot of respect and admiration for hard working / courageous / smart / creative rebel entrepreneurs like Sorosh;-) making me feel like to help them with their David/Goliath audacity, fighting spirit to launch innovative products or activities, or with their ambition to boost their development and gain leadership.

It is quite hard for any entrepreneur to deliver with demanding operations on the top of running an efficient fund raising process where the challenging goal is to get surrounded with the greatest investors, get enough investment, and get it with fair terms and conditions. I am really glad for videoplaza as Creandum is one of the best investors they could get around the block!

When I first met with Sorosh, I got the gut feeling right away that he was standing out of the crowd for a set of reasons I may not explain all in here. Sorosh is getting together good ingredients and building the right foundations for a potentially great future success, with great vision, focus and good capacity to well-surround himself… like with Creandum and Henrik! He did leave aside quite a few people (not the least) at this stage focus focus… impressive especially when you see Sorosh is young but do not let us forget the age of the founders of Facebook!;-)

I spoke to Marc Kvamme (who came to Stockholm a few months back) from Sequoia Capital which gets me totally amazed for their long history of excellence. I asked him how they could achieve that especially in the long run. He answered me a couple things:
    1: working hard
2: do not rely on past success
3: we have also had a lot of failures!

    May that inspire the readers!

    Best
